SMS Consent & Opt-In Policy

Effective 2026-06-04. Covers SMS notifications from the AMDG Systems Community Organizer.

The Community Organizer at scheduler.amdg.io coordinates volunteers within community organizations — recurring shifts, events, and assignments handled by regular volunteers. Volunteers may opt in to receive brief SMS reminders about commitments they have signed up for. This page describes that opt-in process and the standard disclosures that apply.

Standard disclosures. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies based on the number of commitments you have signed up for. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time; reply HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for full details.

How a volunteer opts in

An organization administrator first invites the volunteer by email (no SMS is sent at this stage). The volunteer signs in at scheduler.amdg.io, opens their Profile & Notifications page, enters a mobile phone number, and turns on the SMS-reminders toggle — which is off by default — then clicks Save. The save event records the opt-in along with a timestamp. No SMS is sent before the volunteer completes this step.

The screen they see looks like this:

Profile & Notifications

Send me SMS reminders before my events

This toggle is off by default. The volunteer must switch it on themselves and click Save to consent — nothing is pre-selected.

By enabling SMS reminders and saving this page, you agree to receive text messages from AMDG Systems Community Organizer at the number above. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to unsubscribe; reply HELP for help. See Privacy and Terms.

What messages contain

SMS messages are brief reminders of upcoming commitments the volunteer has signed up for — typically the event name, date, and time of an assignment a few hours before it begins. Example message:

[Community Organizer] Reminder: you are signed up as Volunteer for the 10:00 AM shift on Sun Jun 8. Reply STOP to opt out.

How to opt out

Volunteers can opt out at any time by:

Frequency and volume

Frequency tracks each volunteer’s commitments — typically a handful of reminders per month for a regular volunteer; less for occasional volunteers; more during scheduling-change-heavy periods.

Privacy

Phone numbers and opt-in records are retained only to deliver reminders to the volunteer who provided them, and to honor opt-out requests. They are not shared with third parties for marketing. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
